Violet IT was founded out of a lifelong passion for technology.

Jonathan, the founder and owner, brings over a decade of experience in the corporate IT world—working hands-on in fast-paced environments where reliability and performance matter.

Originally from The Bahamas, his journey into IT began early. At just 16, he spent his summers working in the IT department of a major law firm, helping with end-user support and building custom PCs—yes, back when businesses still hand-built machines for daily operations.

That early exposure laid the foundation for a career driven by curiosity, problem-solving, and a commitment to providing real value to users at every level.

I moved to Salt Lake City mostly for the snowboarding—but ended up kickstarting my IT career at a ski resort. I started in Guest Relations and quickly made the leap into IT, eventually supporting over 300 users across the mountain. I was the guy running network cable through snowstorms, setting up webcams, troubleshooting ski gate issues, and fixing network gear at 10,000 feet when Ski Patrol called.
